Live Aid at 20 reports that in 1985 Bob Geldoff's Live Aid raised $80M to help Famine Stricken Africa. Now 20 years later Africa's situation is still dire and many people are asking where the money went.
"The Band Aid Trust spent a total of $144.1 million between 1985 and 1991, when it closed its offices and stopped actively seeking Donations, according to documents provided by the trust. It still disburses leftover money to African countries: Over the past five years, it spent an additional 4 million pounds, or about $7.3 million."
