Personal Philanthropy

When we hear the word Philanthropy we tend to think of Donations by the super wealthy or corporate Giving. The web however has made it possible for everyday people to become Philanthropist in a very personal way. USA Today reports:

"When Amy Krebs wanted to Help Victims of Hurricane Katrina, she went to the website of a group called Modest Needs, where people who had taken in displaced friends and relatives were posting requests for money to buy extra groceries, air mattresses and clothing."
